Warranties
A great way to buy with confidence is to look at the warranty your supplier will offer. The Solergy 7 Year Warranty applies to design and workmanship along with DC circuit breakers, isolators and cables across all of our systems. All SMA Inverter systems come with a 5 Year Solar Inverter Warranty, which can be extended to 10 years for a small fee. Also our Sungrow Inverter systems come with a 10 Year Solar Inverter warranty.
The Local Touch
If something goes wrong with your Solergy installed solar system, we will make every effort to get you back up and running straight away! With Solergy, after an installation, it is not the end of our relationship. It is only the beginning.
Majority of Other Solar Providers' Warranties
Firstly, you may need to call out an electrician to diagnose the source of the problem. You then may need to make numerous phone calls to the hardware manufacturer to organise repair or replacement of your faulty part. Dependent upon the manufacturer and its warranties, you may also have to PAY for the cost of re-installation of the new part.
And to top it off, you will end up having multiple tradepeople to fix the one issue.
Who has time for the hassle and run around? We do. Solergy have an CEC Accredited installer, electrican and designer that will look after the whole warranty claim. From diagnosing the problem, repairing, replacing and making the claim.
Solergy make the process simple and hassle free!
What are STCs or the Solar Rebate?
Small-scale Technology Certificates or STCs are similar to the now superseded, Renewable Energy Certificates or RECs, having replaced them on 1 January 2011. Both concepts are not something that most people are familiar with when they buy a solar power system and can be confusing. That's why at Solergy, we make it simple for you, by managing all your paperwork and deductions so all you need to think about is the final price.
STCs are simply a means for applying a rebate or discount on the final price of your solar system. Your amount of the rebate applied will depend on how many STCs the system you are purchasing, qualifies for.
Think of an STC as a currency where a one-megawatt hour of power equals one STC. Each of our solar systems has an STC value depending on how much power it generates. This value is what determines the price discount.
When you buy a solar power system through us, we take into account the value of the system's STCs and reduce the price of your system accordingly.
Don't worry, you won't have to work this out because we do it all for you - making the whole process simple, confusion and stress-free.

Rating Manufacturers as Tier 1, Tier 2 and Tier 3. Tier 1 being the highest rating and what you should be purchasing.
To become a Tier 1 Manufacturer,
they have to tick all of the following
criteria -
-
Volume – How many solar panels they sell each year.
-
Vertical Integration – Manufacturer controlling their supply line from silicone cells to the final panel product.
-
Quality Control Systems – Procedures a manufacturer has in place to ensure premium quality products every time.
-
Research and Development – How much they spend in R&D
-
Warranty – Process to attain warranty, do they have a local service office in the country of purchase
-
Risk Diversification – Arguably the most important. Manufacturers having a risk diversified manufacturing portfolio, compared to solar manufacturers only making solar panels. Without diversification, it can lead to the company going bankrupt or insolvent.
-
Financial Stability - how prosperous the company is, risk of going bankrupt or insolvent.
Our Products
But in reality, in the short term, your solar panels might perform great in the first 6 months of being installed but when they are in the harsh Australian climate they quickly deteriorate if you are not using quality panels. This is known as potential induced degradation. At Solergy, we believe QUALITY MATTERS, and strive to provide only high-quality products and service on EVERY installation, no matter how big or small.
Why are some Solar Systems more expensive than others?
The answer is simple. Quality.
Solar Power components are manufactured and built all over the world. Which means they do vary in price, quality, and performance. Just like every other product in the world.
So how do you know if you are buying well or buying a sales pitch?
A quality Solar System will last longer than its warranty period and will at least produce the rated power output, if not more than specified in the testing conditions.
It is interesting to note that the solar industry, internationally and in Australia have such difficulty when determining what makes a great solar panel. The most recent way to judge a solar panel or the manufacturer of the panel has been defined as the "tiering system".

SOLAR POWER IN ALICE SPRINGS & THE NORTHERN TERRITORY
What is the maximum size PV Array I can install?
Single Phase Power Connection: 6.6kW
Three Phase Power Connection: 7kW
If you wish to install anything larger than the above mentioned automatically approved sizes, you must seek approval through Power&Water via an application.
The Process
Once you have made a decision on what system you prefer there is a process that needs to be followed.
Engage a solar installer -
Solergy, as your installer, will hand-deliver your PV Application to the Power&Water office. Once the PWC office has received this, they will review the system to be installed and request your connection fee invoice to be created and sent to you.
Stages:
-
PV Application is submitted to PWC Office by Solergy
-
PWC Office will create an invoice to be sent to you
-
Solergy will complete your PV System installation
-
A new meter and PV System Connection appointment is arranged with PWC (this can vary from 4 - 6 weeks and is out of Solergy's control).
What Power and Water costs are involved?
The solar PV fee covers the cost of your special
metering requirements and a new connection.
Your fees may vary depending on your metering point setup and if additional inspections are required, ie the callout of a Power and Water crew to attend your property:
Single Phase Meter: $564.00
Three Phase Meter: $763.00
The above fees are current as at 1 July 2017.
